I imagined that dressing a boy for summer would be difficult - I imagined that I'd be jealous of all the pretty summer dresses for girls on offer and annoyed that there was little choice for boys.
I was wrong!
I used to complain a lot that there is no choice in boys clothes, but I have completely changed my mind on this after being totally spoiled for choice with a wardrobe bursting at the seams throughout Winter...and now the same thing happening for Summer!
There IS some gorgeous boys stuff out there and plenty of choice and variety, it's just a case of looking a bit harder and trying different places!
Most of Tyne's summer wardrobe has come from Matalan - a store I never think to visit myself, but my Mum loves it and it was her who suggested we go there as she wanted to treat Tyne to his summer clothes - I was amazed by the quality of the clothes there and at just how much choice there was!
Everything was very cool and really different from the things you see for boys in other stores....I'll definitely be visiting there more often!
I thought the prices were amazing too!
First up, we chose these gorgeous 2 piece sets.
This blue striped t shirt is nice and light, and the super light linen trousers are just adorable! This has already been worn and it looked so cute on.This was only £9 which I think is a great price!
I just adore the cute teddy bear design on this t shirt, and I love the denim look linen trousers - this looks gorgeous together but the trousers will go with lots of other tops too!
This was also £9
Next up are some nice casual t shirts to mix and match with jeans, shorts and linen trousers.
This light green marle top was £4.
This will look so cute with the linen trousers - this was £4.
This "Mummy's Little Big Guy" t shirt was just too adorable to resist - and at just £2 why would you want to!?
I LOVE this sailboat print white & navy t shirt - so casual and comfortable but so stylish and effortless too.
I think the print is just gorgeous - I love nautical clothes for Easter so I think Tyne will be wearing this on Good Friday.
This was £4.
I just love the unusual colours and print in this cute t shirt - this was £4. And I think it goes just perfectly with....
These burgundy chinos for a cooler day! These were £7 and the quality is great.
Of course every little boy needs some good old checked shirts and Matalan had some gorgeous ones to choose from...
I love them all but I think the last one is my favorite - these were £5 each.
Apologies for the picture being difficult to make out - bad choice of background!
These off-white shorts with striped turn-up detailing are ADORABLE and will look so cute with most of the shirts and tops above!
These were £6
We also picked up another pair of linen trousers in a darker tan-marl fabric because they just seem so comfy and so cute - these were £7, which is great but I do think when you consider that the 2 piece sets above are £9 including a top that they are a better deal to go for!
We also bought these super cute baby sunglasses as he is OBSESSED with mine & Jon's so we thought he'd enjoy his own pair, even if he won't keep them on for long!
These were £3.50
We also picked up a couple of bits from Tesco....
This was a must have because...well...it's so true!
And I just loved this distressed denim shirt!
So there you have it! Tyne's summer wardrobe!
Thank you Nanny for treating him!
