Baby Must Haves: Maternity

Posted on the 06 August 2013 by Wifessionals @wifessionals
After being pregnant, there are definitely some things that I know I couldn't have lived without. From dealing with sleeping, nausea and staying hydrated, these were my biggest must haves over the past almost 9 months.
Baby Must Haves: Maternity

Luna Lullaby Bosom Baby Nursing Pillow: I was given this pillow from Luna Lullaby for the Small Business Series I did on the blog. It turned out to be a lifesaver! It is so fluffy and the shape is perfect for a maternity pillow. It comes up against the front of my chest and goes down in between my knees. The best part about this pillow is that it doubles as a feeding pillow for your baby. I personally like it better than the other two leading feeding pillow (and I own one of them too). By purchasing this, you don't have to buy two separate pillows!

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunscreen, SPF 55: If you plan to be out in the sun, you need good sunscreen. I burned so easily throughout my pregnancy. I made sure to wear sunscreen on my face every day. My skin is also very sensitive and I suffered from awful breakouts, so this sunscreen was wonderful.

Prenatal Gummy Vitamins: I love these prenatals from Target. The flavors are so good that I had to stop myself from eating extras every day. I was originally on prenatals that I swallowed with water, but the doctor switched me to these to prevent any constipation. Gummy prenatals do not usually contain iron, which can stop you up when you are pregnant. I never had an issue, so I guess the doctor was right!

Unisom SleepTabs: These were a lifesaver. Obviously talk to your doctor before taking any medication while pregnant, but Unisom is often prescribed for nausea, in combination with B6. I didn't want to take Zofran if at all possible, and Unisom worked great! It also came in handy when I had spurts of not being able to sleep at night from discomfort. Just make sure you get Unisom SleepTabs and not the Gels or Melts. SleepTabs are the only ones approved for pregnancy.

Camelbak Eddy Bottle: This was a must for my pregnancy. You need to be drinking so much water! I loved my Camelbak and took it with me everywhere. Ryan originally gave it to me for Christmas and it ended up being one of my favorite things I had while I was pregnant.

Sleep Mask: Having a sleep mask really helped me during my second and third trimester. Especially when I went through spurts of insomnia and then needed to sleep when it was light out.

Earth Mama Angel Baby Body Butter: I was given this as a gift from Ryan's sister who just had twins last year. I love the Earth Mama line of products and this lotion was no exception. It is so soothing and I still don't have a single new stretch mark!

Diet Canada Dry: This would instantly stop waves of nausea for me. I like that this brand tastes just like the regular ginger ale, so I didn't feel like I was adding hundreds of calories a day when I was  gulping this down through my first trimester.

Luna Bars: These make wonderful snacks while you are pregnant. They have a ton of great vitamins and nutrients (even folic acid) and they come in the best flavors. I would always keep them in my purse so if I got nauseous or was running late for a meal, they were there for me to eat. My favorite flavors: Chocolate Dipped Coconut & Chocolate Peppermint Stick.
