Inertia is an unwanted guest in my life. Sometimes when I'm not looking he breaks down my doors and makes himself comfortable, opening bags of chips and making butt imprints on the couch. Like I said in my second last post.
"Fuck inertia in the ass"
Why is it that sometimes we allow the ugliest habits to emerge when we pay it no attention? Is it because that no attention was given that it that so easily slips back in without us noticing?
I guess acknowledging that it is there will we then stop the presence from popping back into actuality. By understanding that, if we don't get up off our assess and move, intertia will reintroduce itself as that unwanted guest.
The point is to be productive, even in a minimal way. It can be a thirty minute run or typing up a short blog post. By keeping yourself busy with the little things it can thus progress into something much bigger. Your thirty minute run could extend to an hour, your blog post could extend to hundreds of pages of a new novel , (over-reaching, yes) but it keeps you on your feet and moving.
You just need to overcome the first obstacle. Putting down the bag of chips and getting up off your ass.
