Bat Crap Crazy

Hey Guys! I’m back from major food depression and ready to BLOG! A bunch of things happened last week which made me unable to write sweet musings about my day….

  1. I felt awful, who knew detoxing off all your favorite foods would leave you couch bound?!
  2. I wasn’t too happy about my new food routine. My Mom made these amazing taco meat stuffed empanadas using seasoned ground beef, tons of cheese, and Pillsbury crescent rolls and I actually dropped 5 silent tears with a pretty severe frown-y face….. definitely not worth sharing in the blog-o-sphere!
  3. I had to get in the right mindset to make this contraband food experience a positive one and I couldn’t get there until somewhere around Sunday morning. Running out of sunflower seed butter Wednesday really set’s ya back a few spaces on the positivity scale…………

Grocery shopping! The culmination of that experience is, I really shouldn’t be eating any food at all. But then I have to remember I’m eating low sensitivity foods so…. crisis averted! Currently I’m eating lots of Dark Chocolate Almond Milk, Popcorn Chips I found at Costco and these super yummy Udi’s Blueberry Muffins!!!! OMG they’re so tasty!

My GI Tract medicine came in on Wednesday.

Since Wednesday I’m taking 4 GI Barrier Repair 30 minutes before every meal (3x a day). Starting tomorrow I’m adding GI Reset to my cocktail for a few weeks. It’s so hard to remember. Yesterday I had to call my Mom in a frantic panic in hopes of catching her before she left the house for Family Lunch to bring me my dose. Luckily, she hadn’t left yet. Wheew!

I’ve been really good about writing down everything I eat in my little FitBook. It’s helping me stay pretty motivated and it’s really sweet to track how I’m feeling. My severely nerdy boyfriend can’t wait until I have more “data” so he can analyze it and make graphs……….

Breakfast included a gourd, fuji apple, one of my Save’s the Day Muffins, and dark chocolate almond milk. I swear its like the BEST chocolate milk EVER!

I lost 5 pounds last week………… Which I think is because I’ve had a hard time eating since so many foods are contraband. All my usual snacky foods are definitely 100 ways of bad for me and I have a really hard time getting carbs. We all know what low carb diets do to your waistline. I’m hoping my eating will get a little better and I won’t be dropping so much weight so quickly. 5 lbs in a week is A LOT.

I also get tired pretty quickly. I’m sure some of it is because I’m not getting as much food as I’m used to and none of it is basic complex carbs. But I’m hoping it’s because my GI tract is finally starting to work right again. Here’s hoping.

My insides feel good enough of work out for the first time in about a year. Which is awesome but I don’t have the energy these days. Maybe in a few weeks.
