With the latest installment of Star Trek now in theaters it’s time to start up the age old debate—Star Trek or Star Wars?
It’s an even trickier topic since it was announced that J.J. Abrams, the director of the Star Trek series, will be taking the helm for the next chapter of the Star Wars saga.
Or at least it should be.
It feels like both sides of this epic battle of logic vs. the force have taken this one lying down.
Seriously, where’s the outrage? How dare Hollywood try and lump these two completely different franchises into one neat little package. The only thing these two series have in common is the word “Star.”
Have we really given up the battle to claim superiority over our respective opponents? Do we know longer care that Spock’s ears are so much pointier than Yoda’s?
Or maybe we’re just curious to see if Abrams will finally explain the smoke monster from “Lost” (we knew it was from Tatooine).
