There’s something about the holiday season that has everyone on their best behavior, or at least expecting everyone’s best behavior.
As children we’re trying to stay off Santa’s naughty list. Perhaps as we grow up, it’s become a habit.
Try as we might though, we all have our bad habits and even holiday cheer can have an off day.
Then there are those who chose the holiday season to highlight those less than savory choices some of us make.
Yes, a recent study sought to examine the naughty habits of Americans.
Don’t worry, it’s nothing too bad, but bah humbug all the same. Here are just a few of America’s most common’ vices:
- 30% of us get in the express lane at the grocery store when we have more than 10 items. Honestly, within reason, I can let this one go.
- 19% of us regularly choose to cut off cars merging onto the highway, rather than let them in. Seeing as it was a crusade to restore civility to modern-day driving that inspired 2WC, I of course cannot abide such incivility.
- 20% of us have parked in a handicap spot without actually being handicapped. Simply shameful.
- 60% of us regularly leave our cell phones on during movies. There’s a special circle of hell for the likes of you.
I suppose we could all look at this as a reminder of how not to behave this holiday season, and maybe (just maybe) the rest of the year too.
