" Self-empowered"deriving the strength to do something through one's own thoughts and based on the belief that one knows what is best for oneself (dictionary.com)
This year I did some very deep soul searching, shuffling all my plans and rearranging my priorities. I acknowledged that every aspect of my life :- My Christian faith, family, friends, educational career, and health, will either empower me or stunt my growth. So i decided to reduce people and things that did not encourage my growth and enable me to achieve my goals in all these aspects, and now im beginning to bloom. We all have goals and visions of where we want to be in life and what we want to achieve. But sadly no one is going to hand it to us on a silver plate. We have to become 100% responsible for our "Dreams" - Work the work, sweat the sweat. We have to believe in ourselves and pay no attention to the voices around us that speak of our so called "Bare dreams".
Don't be afraid to set high goals! You can do it - so long as you dedicate your every moment without giving up, to what you want. And I'm not referring to worldly success (Wealth). I dont beleive wealth is the only thing we can work towards. No. We can work towards a more powerful relationship with God, family stability, educational success, landing the job you've always been passionate about...the list goes on.
God did not give us a spirit of fear! Deuteronomy 31:6 -Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.”He gave us a spirit of boldness! Keep God closest in your heart, never get tired of committing your plans to him. Proverbs 3:6 -In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. But know that we may make our plans, but God has the final say. His plans are not to harm us but to prosper us. So there's no need to dread. God is in control.
Self empowerment is the way to go for me this year! Be self empowered.Much love,
Joan Akob
