Hello!
Please excuse my lack of blog posts this week, our home Internet is currently broken so my only Internet access is through my phone right now!
This is my first blog post from my phone so I'm hoping it works well! If it looks a bit odd, you know why!
This week I was lucky enough to be sent the above box of goodies from GOSH cosmetics. GOSH are a brand I haven't personally tried before so I was very excited to see what I had been sent and give it all a go!
I was sent:
*GOSH BB concealing and highlighting skin correction kit (RRP £9.99)*GOSH velvet touch eyeliners in Ocean Mist & Renaissance Gold (RRP £4.99 each)*GOSH Ultimate eyeliner in Back in Black, Raw Grey, and Kind Of Blue (RRP £5.99 each)*6 GOSH Nail Lacquers (RRP £4.99 each)
I was really excited to give them a try, I couldn't get the box open fast enough!
I decided that I would firstly try out the BB Skin Correction Concealing and Highlighting Kit - now it has to be said that I am VERY fussy about concealers.
I have very prominent dark circles under my eyes and although I have tried countless concealers in the past, I have never found any that offer a heavy enough coverage for me apart from MACs studio finish concealer.
I used the GOSH concealer this morning and, as I expected, it wasn't quite enough to combat my circles the way I like. However, it did cover them somewhat and I was happy enough with it to wear it for a day out without putting my MAC concealer on over the top, so really it did quite well!
The highlighter was a nice bonus in the lot, I don't regularly use a highlighter but I applied this in dots under my eyes to detract from the dark circles, along my cheekbones to accentuate them and along my top lip line to make my lips look fuller... It worked really well and I will certainly be incorporating it as part of my daily make up routine!
I think this little compact is really lovely...it's very compact so would fit easily into any make up bag and it comes with a very handy little mirror too.
For £9.99 I think is a great purchase and though its not quite heavy enough for me personally, I think most people would find this concealer to be more than adequate.
Next I tried the Ultimate eyeliner in Back In Black... I use a thick pencil eyeliner on my lower lids everyday but I find it always rubs off within half an hour or so.
You might ask why this is named the Ultimate Eyeliner?
Well - the reason is that it contains everything you need from an eyeliner! You twist it, and it pops out more - At the opposite end of the pencil is a handy little smudger tool, and when you pop the smudger out there is a handy sharpener should you need it!
The eyeliner also has a unique easy-grip holder to make it very easy to use and apply.
As soon as I applied this liner, the look was much more dramatic than my usual liner which I really liked.
The liner is still visible now, more than six hours after I applied it so I am very impressed! I will definitely repurchase this in the future.
So far I have yet to try the other eyeliners or nail lacquers (life with a newborn! Not much chance for experimenting with make up!) so I will review these in a future blog post.
GOSH cosmetics are available from Superdrug.
Have you ever tried GOSH cosmetics? As always, I'd live to hear from you!
