I have to admit to not being the most disciplined of people when it comes to keeping up with a skincare routine, but whenever I make the effort with it I really do feel a lot better for it.
My skin has been causing me some problems since giving birth, as I have found that it seems drier than it has in the past and I also seem to be slightly more prone to spots than before.
So when I was given the opportunity to trial Simple's new SimpleSense tool I was intrigued to see what products would be recommend for me and how they would help.
SimpleSense is a new online tool from Simple which diagnoses your skin problems based on the answers you give to a series of questions, and gives you detailed advice on how to help yourself out as well as recommending the best Simple products for you to use.
What I loved about SimpleSense was that, rather than focusing purely on selling their products to you, they really do give a great deal of sound advice on the problems you have - giving practical suggestions on how to improve things without the need to purchase anything!
At the end of the assessment and after I had read through the advice, I had a look at the products that had been recommended to me - Simple were then kind enough to send the products to me so that I could trial them.
Here are the products I was sent and what I thought of them:
Simple Kind To Eyes Eye Make Up Remover Pads - £3.99
I am not the best at removing my make up of a night, I rarely bother and even if I do a face wipe is pretty much the extent of my efforts and they don't work too well at removing more stubborn things such as mascara and the liquid eyeliner I often wear.So these are VERY handy for getting my mascara off quickly and efficiently at night, meaning I don't wake up with the usual panda eyes and my nice white pillow cases don't pay the price for my make-up removing laziness!
Simple Kind To Skin Smoothing Facial Scrub - £3.99
Recommended to help with my dry and somewhat rough-feeling forehead area, this facial scrub is a real pleasure to use. It smells lovely and fresh, and really does leave my face feeling softer and smoother - my make up seems to glide on much more evenly the day after use too.
Simple Kind To Eyes Revitalising Eye Roll On - £4.99
My dark circles have always been my biggest skin problem, and I find that my eye area always looked tired and dull - a problem which certainly hasn't been helped by the arrival of a very cute little sleep thief who goes by the name of Tyne! - I love using this as it feels so cooling and soothing at the end of the day or first thing in the morning. I don't think its made a difference to my dark circles but it does leave my eyes feeling soothed, and I think it helps to lift the area overall and make it look a little more alive.
Simple Kind To Skin Refreshing Facial Wash Gel - £3.25
This facial wash gel is very gentle on the skin so is safe for daily use, although I don't enjoy sticking to a skincare routine this is very simple to use and there is minimal faff involved - a quick wash and rinse off with a few splashes of water, its that simple - so I have been doing pretty well at keeping it up!My skin feels lovely and tingly fresh after use!
All in all I have really enjoyed using these products, and I do feel that my skin looks much more revived and refreshed since use - and my make up has been much easier to apply without looking patchy!
These products are available nationwide from September and in select retailers from August. For more details visit www.simple.co.uk and to take the SimpleSense test just go to http://www.simple.co.uk/simplesense*Products kindly sent for review condsideration
