Bedroom Decor in Progress...

 Here is the first home decor photo tour I promised!
Inspiration PhotosI fell in love with this ruffle bedspread from Urban Outfitters (they have multiple colors), but I wanted to be able to decorate my space on a budget. This comforter retails for $150 here. The shams are an additional cost. 
This is THE picture that inspired my design style. I have always been one for the "Grandma Chic" look, which I describe as Vintage Femininity. This bed skirt is $290 on Etsy here. I love the earth colors, girly ruffles, raw fabrics and wood, and the comfy vibe of the space. 
My Space So Far... I found the ruffled comforter set at my favorite Home Goods for less than $40! I love the bird cage pillow which is a brown canvas with sparkly beige threading. The shams came with the comforter and have ruffles on the edges. I am still looking for something unique for above the bed. I found the vintage headboard at a local furniture resale shop for $20 with a student I.D. It works for now. I really liked this headboard from Pier 1... but it would have blocked light from the windows.  As you can tell I am still in search for the perfect night stand and lamp. The shelf on the right is a distressed metal stand. I have distressed wood frames, amber candle holders, and a litter green ceramic bird on the shelves. (I'll take more pics.) 

Here is the corner near the tiny closet. I keep my clothes in a different closet. We store all our blankets and extra pillows for friends in there. The A picture is a stamp on canvas from Kirklands... $5! The chair has been with our family for a long time.
