Best Milk Tea Ever | Simple Life to Simple Line Milk Tea (UST - Dapitan Branch)

Okay, I'll start with.. uhhm. Haha! I don't know how to start this blog post since my first encounter with this product was quite long ago. Well, it started when I was still studying in college at the university of Santo Tomas. The milk tea industry was not as big as it is now, and to be honest, I was not a fan of it back then. I even kind of wondered what was with this product that so many students and even doctors of the neighboring hospital were patronizing it so much..

On our campus back then, they had an outlet inside the accounting building (a.k.a "The Mall") and the queue was just unreal. The line was so long that when you see it, you won't even think that that is just for a simple drink. Plus they just started like a few maybe week ago.. that big of a deal. It actually came to a point that they have to give queue nos. just to avoid having the scary waiting game that might be turning off some of the incoming customers.

Back then the menu was simple, I think there were less than 10 choices. Now, its more than that and is continuously growing. The fruit corner is creating a new board and new toppings are arising.
By the way, my first encounter with milk tea was not from my own cup. lol! It was from my friends'. Since I told you I was not a fan way back when they started.. I was not even close to buying one really. He just said "just try at least a sip" which I was really hesitant to do, but of course, I did and hated it haha. No joke. I said it tastes like metal rust (not that I tasted one already but just basing it from when you smell it). But you know what, I craved for it like literally minutes after. I was like saying to myself "Hey, it was not that bad after all". And so the history of my milk tea life began.. I bought nearly every day back then - that worse - I made it my food. I even asked some of my friends if they think addictive drugs were in it haha! Sometimes while buying one, I look intensely while they make my drink if they are putting something special on it haha! Was it milk?! Or was it an addictive substance?! lol! Anyway.. the rest of it was history.

They started from the typical drink counter/stall type business - now to the current one with chairs and tables to hang out with. It is really a different feeling when you saw them grow and felt like you were there with them, part of that growth. You feel kind of attached which creates a special place in your heart (wow! lol).
About the taste. Since I know most of you have tasted Coco. Its better than that (since I think that is the closest one in terms of the popular ones) and is more affordable too. You'll appreciate its authenticity compared to the others. Top it with herbal or grass jellies and boom! Wahaha! Cravings satisfied. The only thing they lack is the distribution VS the highly commercialized brands. I actually have a theory that Coco is just a highly branded Simple line. Haha! True? I don't know.

As of the moment, when I visit my alma mater (UST) from time to time, I make sure to buy a number of cups before going back home. Well, it is not a secret that I love milk tea (I even wrote about the 14 best milk tea brands in PH) so why not share it, right? I know we have different taste buds, different preferences on ingredients used and were exposed to a lot of kinds of milk tea.. But what I assure you when you try Simple line is that they and their products will not fail you.
Here. I recorded my latest visit on their branch at Dapitan - UST (V. Concepcion)Just maybe some of you are interested to see how it looks like from the inside hehe.
