Best of Day 1: Heisman at Doggy Day Care

So for the rest of the week I am going to recap the "Best of Life of A Sports Wife." I am going to post blogs that I LOVE through the year.

First up is about Heisman going to Doggy Day Care. _________________________________________________________________

I haven't blogged much about Heisman. He is a dog. He sits, sleeps poop, and plays. Nothing really special until TODAY. We put him in doggie day care.
This is something we have been thinking about for some time, but we are on lockout budget. (I work for an NHL team. That's really all I can say without getting in trouble.) But today our apartment is coming to look at our apartment, so we thought it would be better if he was gone.
At first I was really excited and that he was going to doggie day care. I was really good until it came to actually leaving the store. The lady asked one question and I broke down. I started crying. I couldn't help it. It's his first time away, and I REALLY want him to stay the whole day with the other dogs. It will be good for him. I will keep everyone posted on how it turns out.
A little background on Heisman. We got him last Christmas. That was our big gift to each other. From the first moment we LOVED him. He was perfect.
Heis is half weenie and half jack russell. Many people think he is the Taco Bell dog. I get really upset when people say that. I dont know why because it's not that big of a deal.
Many people ask if he is named after the Heisman trophy. Yes, he is. I have always wanted a dog and name him Heisman. Gary picked his middle name which is Barkley. After Matt Barkley the quarterback for the USC Trojans. (His favorite team)
Below are some random pictures from my phone.
