Big Plans

Big PlansIn the past few weeks I have taken on a ton of exciting projects: blogging, crocheting, cross stitching, bracelet making, reorganizing Tanner's toys, school, homework etc. The problem is, which I'm sure most people and moms in particular can relate to, is that there isn't nearly enough time in the day to do what we want and there aren't nearly enough arms on our body to do everything at once. If we were built like spiders or scorpions then this  might not be a topic of conversation, however, we only have 2 arms and 24 hours in a day and spiders are creepy anyway.  I have the privilege of not working so I have more time to work with to run errands, make crafts and complete school obligations. I'm a bit of a night owl because I get home from school at 10 pm, so I generally save all of my side projects for the evening hours when only vampires and other nocturnal creatures are out and about. There isn't much time to do anything I have to concentrate on during the day because Tanner requires all of my attention, so I usually save homework for his nap which is from 3 - 6 pm. So that leaves the morning time for all of our errands such as shopping, the gym (they have a babysitter), cleaning and organizing, etc. Tanner and I have been operating on this schedule for quite some time so we are both used to the same routine, which is important with toddlers. Big PlansBig PlansBig PlansI bought some crochet hooks, 5 balls of yarn, a bunch of different colored embellished floss and charms to make bracelets, a few books on cross stitching and crochet patterns, and a sheet of cross stitch fabric so I can make different signs or pictures from scratch! I am really excited about all of these different craft ideas I have planned right now. On top of all of the crafts I want to do, I'm trying to get blogging off of the ground.  This involves not only trying to pick the perfect name, layout, theme etc, but also trying to remember how to use Photoshop so I can enhance my images and make some different graphics. I am totally serious about all of these things not only because it's fun and therapeutic for me but also because they seem like a viable option to generate some extra income. So I am feeling a little scatterbrained right now. I want to do everything at the same time but I'm not sure how to prioritize  what things to do first and what things to do last. I have made it a rule to finish all of my homework and studying before I start doing anything else because I will get totally carried away and 3 hours later I missed my deadline.  And I also want to do product reviews once my blog starts to get more traffic (if I ever decide on the permanent name)  on all kinds of different products. I guess I should just say stay tuned because this is just the beginning of what I think will become some amazing finished products!  Just a few weeks ago I was getting really bored because I watched every TV show and movie created and known to man and now I could care less about watching anything. HELLO, THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS TO DO NOW.  This feeling of being invigorated and excited is a really wonderful one. I really recommend taking on little projects to anyone who is feeling a little down or frustrated. You know what they say about idle hands... idle minds. There are few things you can really control in your life... you can't control outside circumstances that  effect your life in different ways, but you can control how you view the things that happen to you. My basic theory on how hobbies help to keep peace of mind is that you don't THINK about the shit that's going wrong when you're busy trying to perfect an idea or craft or project or hobby or whatever it is that you're doing. That's really just it... people with too much time on their hands are the ones who feel the worst because all they have time to do is think.  So anyway, do something productive with your time, so when you have an open mind free of worry, you allow the good things to just flow in on their own. Big Plans
