I really wanted to make mozzarella cheese sticks today, but we didn't have anymore string cheese since we eat those for lunches. We still had some turkey dogs, and I needed to use those up soon before they went bad, so I made up my own recipe for pigs in a blanket. I also sprinkled a little bit of mozzarella cheese in them. They are pretty good for a simple lunch or snack.
Here is what you'll need...
~About 2 to 3 cups Bisquick
~About 1/2 to 1 cup of mozzarella shredded cheese
~2 turkey franks
~about two to three 1/4 cups of water :)
Preheat the oven 450 degrees.Get out a pan and grease it. Start by mixing the dough...
Now cut the dough into strips...Cut up the turkey franks into quarters...
Place a quarter of the turkey frank onto the Bisquick strip and sprinkle mozzarella on the Bisquick strip.
And bunch it all up, covering the edges of the turkey dog.
Here is another way to fold it up...
And then just pinch the sides :) the edges. Now, put them in the oven for 15 minutes...
Let cool and enjoy! They are pretty good :)
An awesome simple snack :) Yumm!!
