What is the name of your blog?
A Dose of Paige
How long have you been blogging?
I’ve been blogging off and on for at least eight years but on my current blog, I’ve been blogging for a little over a year.
What is your definition of success?
My definition of success is living comfortably with my family and being perfectly content. It’s definitely something that is different for every person.
As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a writer. I still dream of publishing my own novel one day. I also always played school with my brother and my friends and even set up our game room as a classroom one time so I imagine being a teacher was pretty appealing to me then too. Now, I just really don’t think I could teach a classroom of children all day.
What do you like to do in your free time?
I don’t have much free time between nursing school and blogging. But I guess in my free time, I like shopping, reading, watching TV and crafting.
Tell us something about yourself that your readers would be surprised to know.
I really didn’t have much self-esteem as a child. It wasn’t the brightest time in my life, for sure.
Where do you get inspiration from?
I get inspiration from everywhere! One place I usually get at least two ideas for a blog post idea is when I’m riding in the car listening to the DJ’s talk on the radio. I almost always want to respond to the topic they are talking about but don’t want to call in so I put it on my blog post list. They usually never get written or published though. Otherwise, I get ideas from just living life.
What is your favorite social media app & why?
I want to say twitter, because I like twitter more but I find myself on Facebook on my phone more often than not.
Do you have a blogging pet peeve, and if so, what is it?
I definitely think the worst is when you get the “Hey, I followed you! Follow me back!” comments on a personal post. I mean, if you insist on leaving a comment like that, then at least do it on a fashion post or something like that. Once I even got one that said, “I followed you! I expect a follow back.” Uh, what?
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
Technically, I haven’t had my greatest achievement yet but I definitely think it will be coming in August. I’m graduating nursing school and let me tell you, the fact that I made it out mostly in tact is nothing short of a miracle.
Where do you see yourself in 5-10 years?
In 5-10 years my life will be completely different I imagine. Cody and I will probably own our own house; we’ll definitely have different cars. Hopefully by then we would have traveled to Germany, Disney World, and other parts of Europe and even taken a cruise. We’ll probably have at least one kid by then.
What is your Life Motto?
“What doesn't kill you makes you stronger”
As a nursing student myself, I understand how precious time can be. Thanks Paige for sharing with us!
