Posted on the 07 May 2012 by Stampmouse
bloomsday is spokane's 12K race (7.46 miles) its one of the to 5 biggest races in the us and somewhere in the top ten for the world.  With around 50,000 + participating.  It winds its way through downtown and then some of the scenic areas of spokane ending up finishing on the monroe street bridge which overlooks the damn and this time of the year the overflowing spring run off.
I have never done the race even though i have lived here most of my life.  This year hubby did it with me.  He doesn't run and so I was proud of him for walking it with me.  we stuck together and crossed teh finish line together.  it was a lot of fun and really not bad.  the weather was perfect for it too.
