"The landlady came to meet me today. She stayed to chat for a long time",said Aai to Neeraja
"Her daughter used to live abroad for a long time but she now returned and lives with her. She grand daughter was born after a long gap from the first child. She wanted her to be educated in India.", she continued
"Hmm", said Neeraja meddling something with her laptop. Aai would spend all day at home while Neeraja would go out for work and come back in the evening. This was the time when Aai would tell her all the stories about what happened around the neighborhood. This had become the routine ever since Aai had come to stay with Neeraja for a brief time.
"It is supposedly same with her son as well, he stays some where around. Everyday one truck stops in front of the next house, it brings these huge boxes and deposits them here"
"Hmm", muttered Neeraja with half her attention some where else.
"They are labelled Bournville.....", she said in a questioning tone.
"It is a chocolate aai.." said Neeraja still meddling with the laptop
"Is there a church down the street, I see that board there but don't see anything..."
"I don't know aai.."
"I don't see any neighbors talking to each other here? Do they talk? Do you know any one around?"
"I don't know aai, I don't want to talk to anyone...", muttered Neeraja
Aai stared at the wall contemplatively. She looked at the Bob Marley poster stuck on the wall. It was an A3 size poster on Bob Marley with "Get up Stand Up. Stand Up for your right. Get up stand up don't give up the fight. "
"Who is that man?", she asked
"It is Bob Marley. He is a singer.....", said Neeraja still thinking what more to say
"Why does he look so worried? He seems to be really perplexed about some thing...."
