Hey guys,
Today, I want to talk to you all about books I cannot WAIT to read this Summer. I've narrowed it down to ten, which was not an easy decision. Most of these are ones just currently on my shelf, I will do a more recent reads before Summer is out!
Here are my top ten and my reasons why:
'Eucalyptus'- Murray Bail
The photo on this cover is so intriguing! I've never heard of this book, so was curious when I found it in the charity shop. As mentioned, the cover really draws you in, giving no detail of what the story could be about. The blurb describes it as "a love story that is as provocative as it is witty and charming". I can't wait to delve into this and find out what it is about. I shall keep you informed.

'Quiet' - Susan Cain
The simplistic cover really drew me in with this one. There's something so understated about it, it intrigues me even more. I've heard lots of good things about this book, that it helps up re-evaluate our busy lives. I think this will be some perfect non-fiction, to really help me gain some perspective.

'A Girl is a Half Formed Thing' - Eimear McBride
This one came to my attention last year, not only with the title, but that it was selected for the Bailey's prize. When doing my research, this book came out in 2013 (p I still haven't had a chance to read it, so I'm seizing my chance this year. I don't know a lot about it, but I'm sure it won't disappoint.

'Home' - Marilynne Robinson
Recommended by Good Reads, I found this to be a really interesting blurb. It has lots of potential to be a heart wrenching, emotional read. On the other hand, it could be a washout. I've heard good things about this author though. Leaving me to think that this the first on this list that I do read.

'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' - Stephen Chbosky
Not to let the men down on this list! This book has been on my reading list for what seems forever. I'm going to finally commit this year, and read this book that I've heard so many things about. In casting my mind back to the film, I did really enjoy it. Hopefully the book will be equally, if not better than the film.

'A Million Little Pieces' - James Frey
This seems like a really interesting book. I had no idea that it was a semi-fiction novel, it could be really insightful though. I haven't really heard a lot about this book. I brought this one earlier this year in a charity shop. I just thought it looked really interesting, it could be a really good read!

'The Opposite of Loneliness' - Marina Keegan
I recieved this book over Christmas, as I had heard a few good things about it. Marina Keegan seemed like a really interesting person, and I find her story ultimately tragic. For those of you who don't know, Keegan passed away quite young, soon after her graduation. This could provide a really insightful look into life at twenty something.

'The Lemon Grove' - Helen Walsh
This seems like a PERFECT Summer read, at least the cover suggests so. I heard a lot of people talking about this book last Summer. So, when I found it in a charity shop this year I thought I'd give it a go. I haven't even read the blurb yet, because I want to just dive in. I'm hoping to go away in July, I'll have to pack this one for the trip!
