So, we set out to see the Alhambra exhibition at the NY Botanical Garden but

really it was quite the least impressive show I've ever been to there, so we were side tracked into the desert plants ( for some reason men like evil looking cacti) and then

outside to see the water lilies and the koi.

This rather obscure genus of salvia sings next to the new growth on the box. (Note to self: this blue stuff might look good planted round the tree roots outside.)

Then the miraculous happened. We went on the little trolley to the rose garden where everything was about to bloom

or was blooming already.
