First of all, I am a trillion light years behind everyone else with this one (as I usually am) but when Johnny Depp guest starred on Daybreak this morning and spoke about the end of his 14-year relationship with his ex, I felt a little bit sad. 14 years! That's a hell of a long time. I've been with Adam for 11 years in October and honestly we have shared way too much of our lives to ever consider breaking up. But, I don't know the story, things happen, people split. I'm sure they never saw it coming. I feel pretty bad for him, I
I was having a little read up on it and I found this. I think that the way he spoke about his ex was actually really respectful;
“Relationships are very difficult. Especially in the racket that I’m in, because you’re constantly away or they’re away, and so it’s hard. It wasn’t easy on her. It wasn’t easy on me. It wasn’t easy on the kids. So, yeah. The trajectory of that relationship — you play it out until it goes, one thing leads to another. So for whatever reason that ceases, it doesn’t stop the fact that you care for that person, and they’re the mother of your kids, and you’ll always know each other, and you’re always gonna be in each other’s lives because of those kids. You might as well make the best of it.”
Poor guy. Lets hope that he can soon find happiness again.
