Bright Pink Lipstick Day 2015

Posted on the 16 September 2015 by Suzanne Robinson @mummy2twinsblog

Bright Pink Lipstick Day is now in its fourth year and aims to encourage conversation about your family's hereditary health, and mainly the risk of breast and ovarian cancer.

The campaign asks you to wear bright pink lipstick on September the 25th.

The lipstick called "Pink Hope" will be for sale at: Luma Cosmetics with 100% of proceeds of the sales going directly to the Pink Hope charity. The lipstick costs $19.95, it is natural and does not use harsh chemicals or tested on animals. It is also 100% made in Australia.

I have purchased my Pink Hope lippy and it is on its way. I will be ready for the 25th of September and of course every purchase of lippy goes to help the Pink Hope Charity.

About Pink Hope

Pink Hope is a Tax deductible registered charity, established and founded by author and cancer prevention activist Krystal Barter whilst recovering from her preventative double mastectomy.

Krystal was only 22 years old when she discovered she had the BRCA1 gene fault - the same gene made famous by Angelina Jolie - that gave up to an 87% chance of developing breast cancer.

Barter's mother, grandmother and great-grandmother all fought breast and ovarian cancer at increasingly earlier ages so in 2009, when she was 25 years old, and with two young sons at home, Krystal had a preventative double mastectomy.

Having experienced the isolation and lack of information for at risk families like hers, Krystal created an organisation that had prevention at its heart and ensured families could assess, understand and manage their own risk of breast and ovarian cancer

How Pink Hope Helps?

All money raised by Pink Hope goes directly into prevention, education and support programs.
