I now have two little boys (though that still seems a little surreal to say) and seeing them together brings forward an emotion in me that is sort of hard to explain. It's a mixture of proudness, love, utter joy and of thankfulness. I feel like when the time comes that they begin to play together, I won't be able to take my eyes off of them and that my heart will just burst of complete pride and sheer happiness.
Ethan is already a wonderful big brother to Logan. Sure, he may not fully understand, with Logan only being two weeks old, that he is here to stay, just yet. But a big part of me does think he knows that Logan's here forever and that he does know that he is his little brother. Ethan already displays a caring protectiveness over Logan. We catch him watching over him, particuarly when he's in his moses basket. He'll alert us to him when Logan begins to grizzle or to cry. He'll pick up Logans dummy and carefully place it back in his mouth when it falls out - though he hasn't yet mastered the whole not touching the teat business just yet. ;) He's interested in Logan and likes to watch how his Dad and I interact with him. He'll wave his little brother goodnight when he goes up to bed and he loves to give him kisses. Ethan genuinely is such a lovely little boy, with a heart of gold. He loves other people, especially other children. He doesn't mind sharing his toys or even his food (which is saying something) and I just know that whilst he seems to really care and love his little brother at the moment, he will grow to adore him as he gets older and as their bond begins to grow.
