We're at a funny age with the boys. It's an age where they are quite clearly really interested in each other but also an age where they don't quite know how to be best friends. One minute they can be laughing at each other hysterically and encouraging each other and the next it's almost like they've had a little scrap - this is usually when sharing of the toys comes in.
Logan's increasingly getting a bit tired of his baby toys - he's far more interested in what his brother is doing. If Ethan has a plane - Logan wants it. If Ethan's reading a magazine - Logan wants that too. Logan at ten months and like most ten month olds basically wants everything he's not really supposed to have.
And it's a good thing that Logan is so interested in what his brother is up to, when Logan's a little older perhaps they'll share interests and play planes together, but right now Ethan doesn't find having his planes chewed on by his little brother a lot of fun. Though he is generally quite patient and accepting of his brothers intrigue and desire to put everything in his mouth.
Learning to share is all part of having a sibling and we're right at the start of the boys journey together. Rather than Ethan get upset and shout about Logan trying to take his things, we're encouraging Ethan to tell us so that we can show him that he should perhaps go and get Logan another toy to play with.
The boys are reminding me of each other so much and I'm loving seeing them both grow each month. Logan is turning into more of a little boy each day and Ethan like his brother is just totally a heart-melter, he's also far more grown up than I realize sometimes.
This month has been ultra busy for us, we've not had as much family time as we normally would have, due to our house renovations, but one of my favorite moments from this month has to be when we showed the boys the new flooring in the bedrooms. The room that is going to be our office was empty and they were sliding across the new laminate floor together, laughing and going pretty crazy before bath time. We've also had some time in the garden this month with the warmer weather, which is when I took these photos of them. It's not easy getting them to sit together to be honest, they're independent little boys, but I managed to get a few which I feel perfectly reflect their personalities.
Looking at them together always makes my heart melt. I don't know if I'll ever stop wondering how they can both be mine.
