I wasn’t a huge fan of lip glosses before until I met this guy right here, that’s why I only have less than 5 lip glosses which I almost haven’t touched yet. This Burt’s Bees Natural Lip Gloss is the recent that I got and the first that I will review for you guys because I love it!

Packaging:
I like the simple, direct to the point packaging of this lip gloss. The tube is also sealed when you buy it. It is sturdy and comes with a doe-foot applicator so you can control the amount of product you get. TIP: for hygiene purposes, you can swipe off the excess product from the applicator to a clean tissue before you return it to the tube.
Ingredients: 100% Natural. The list is on the flip side of the seal. I’m a fan of natural products and how I wish all makeups are created this way! It has sunflower oil that keeps the lips hydrated. I love this oil and I’m glad to see it as one of the ingredients. I even use sunflower oil before on my face as a moisturizer.
Scent: It has subtle sweet scent like honey but milder. I actually like it and doesn’t irritate my nose.
Texture/Formula:
I’m happy that I got this red/plum shade because I’m loving plums and purples lately. It’s a bit sticky compared to other lip glosses that I’ve tried before (mostly clear glosses) so I use this alone. You may use it on top of your lipstick to add shine but I haven’t tried that with this product yet. It’s also very moisturizing and never did I experience drying of my lips whenever I wear this. It’s my go-to lip color that I can use also in the gym or when working out so I won’t look pale.
Pigmentation:
It gives a sheer color when applied and blended. Some people may complain about this but just to remind you guys, this is a lip gloss, not a lipstick nor a stain. If you want full opaque coverage, use a lipstick first and put this on top to add shine. It has faint shimmers but not overwhelming which I also like because I hate big specks of glitters in a lip product.
Lip Swatch
If you like sheer pigment or color on your lips, you will love this as much as I do. It’s great for everyday wear during those days you don’t need to wear a lipstick like running errands or going to the gym.
Longevity:
It takes around an hour or two before I need to reapply it. Yes, this is the issue with lip glosses, their weak staying-power. Compared to lip stain or tint that has longer staying power, I still prefer to use this one. Why? I’ve tried different brands of lip stain or tint but they all always leave patches on my lips especially when I wasn’t able to exfoliate my lips well. I’ll talk more about that on a separate post and my future reviews.
I love this lip gloss so much! It does the job of moisturizing my lips without the need of lip balm prior to it and makes my lips look alive and healthy. Given that it’s made with 100% natural ingredients is a plus.
If there will be any issue with this, that would be 1. the price. It’s freakin’ more expensive here in our country due to taxes and all those government fees etc. It’s approx. $15 here compared to $9 in the US. Then 2. pigmentation. For those are not fond of sheer color, you can skip this and use a lipstick or stain instead.
