Busy Weekend and Other Stuff

Posted on the 16 May 2012 by Ourlittlecorner @ourcornerblog
Thanks to you readers who have stuck around. I'm in a blogging rut at the moment.
We did have a fun and busy weekend though!!
My mom, sister & I had a garage sale all day Friday and Saturday at my mom's. Luckily my husband was off work and able to keep Little C at home both days. Bug went with me and stayed Friday night with my mom while my husband, Little C and I went to a Ranger's game! This was mine and C's first Ranger's game it was fun! The downside was I was already dead tired after a day of having a garage sale, then I had to struggle with a wiggly toddler for SIX hours at the game! We were there from about 6 to 12. It poured for about an hour during the game and they covered the field while everyone went to hang out in the dry areas. Not terrible but kinda crazy with a little one. Overall we did have a good time and the fireworks show afterwards was awesome! I'm looking forward to going to another game one of these days. I was SO tired by the time we got home that I went to bed fully clothed... jean shorts and all and didn't wake up to change until 6 a.m or later!

Saturday we had the garage sale again with some friends joining us for the day. The sale was dead and we ended up packing up early. Saturday afternoon my hubby surprised me with roses and a sweet card for Mother's Day. (I had already received a couple early Mother's Day gifts so I was not expecting flowers at all. In fact I told him not to get me flowers. But aren't they pretty? :))
busy weekend and other stuff
Sunday my hubby took the kids to church, then took his mom out to eat, then spent the afternoon at her house. (Not sure what kind of mother this makes me but on Mother's Day I really enjoy having the day to myself!! That's the best kind of Mother's Day for me.) I went to get my already kinda short hair trimmed into more of a bob. I like this a lot better that what I had. (I need to post pics!) Then I met my mom and sister for a quick lunch at Panera before they went to get pedi's. I came home and tried to hi-light my hair on my own. Not a good idea because I was wearing one of those plastic bonnet things and had to pull a million strands of hair though the holes with a crochet type hook! Once I got to the back of my head I was going crazy because looking in the mirror I can NOT figure out which way to move my hand so I finally ripped the dumb bonnet off and decided to forget it. I definitely need someone to help with that type of hi-lighting.
Sunday evening I watched the finale of Desperate Housewives. I thought it was *okay* and not as good as it could have been. I wish we could've found out what happened to Orson, what Susan's future was going to be and it bugged me that Edie wasn't among the neighborhood ghosts. I understand why she wasn't since she's on bad terms with the DH people but still. I did LOVE the fact that Tom & Lynette got back together, Carlos & Gaby stayed together, Julie had her baby, Bree found love, no one went to jail for killing Gaby's step-dad, Renee and that guy got married, and it was sad that Karen died but a nice wrap-up for the show. The fact that Karen took the blame for killing the step-dad was kind of silly. In fact I thought the entire trial was silly and not really portrayed realistically. But overall I was pretty happy with the finale... I thought it would be worse than it was! What did you think if you watched it??
I'm still deciding whether to switch blogs and what to name another blog if I switch and whether to stick with blogspot or not. I feel like Our Little Corner just doesn't fit me..... too cutesy or something. I'm terrible with coming up with blog names! I've been My Two Cents, Dandelion Dust, My Little Corner, Our Little Corner and a few other things... I can't even remember what all! I tend to switch blogs pretty often and I've been around in blog land for for.ev.er... since 2005 or 2006, I think?? Maybe longer. (Ha! While I was typing this post Little C was in my bathroom scrubbing the floor with a toilet brush and getting toilet water everywhere. That's the reason I don't blog more often! I'm always hopping up to do something for the kids!)
Anyway, enough rambling! Hope everyone had a great Mother's Day and hope you're having a beautiful week!!!!
