Cannon Drive for the 4th of July...

We are at Cannon Drive E.14 on the Isle of Dogs and very close to London's Canary Wharf estate. To the left of the picture we can see a smooth shapely bollard that certainly has a nautical theme about itself.
With a round circular base the bollard tapers to a lip/ridge and then continues to taper until the final third near the top where it bells outwards with a smooth slightly domed top. Looks like this bollard took a whack from a vehicle and it appears the brick pavement come off worse.
Many a Cannon was fired so that America could gain its Independence from Great Britain from Bollards of London may I wish all Americans a very happy 4th of July.
