This year Earth Day celebrates its 43rd year. With that many years under its belt, you would think that this environmentally friendly holiday would have the whole world hugging trees.
Sadly, it seems to have had the opposite effect.
Since its founding, public concern for improving the Earth has dropped from 63 percent (who care a whole awful lot) to 39 percent.
Surprising when you consider the number of “green” initiatives we’re bombarded with on a daily basis. It would seem that we consider the Earth “officially” saved.
If only it were that easy.
Unfortunately, slapping an “eco-friendly” label on everything doesn’t save the planet. One look out your window this “spring” should tell you that something is off, and like it or not, we’re the ones who need to care a whole awful lot…and then do something about it.
