I was browsing through one of our local bargain shops recently when I came across some large buttons and some sparkly pom poms in the arts section that were very cheap. I grabbed them thinking I could use them in some way with B1 and B2. Either in a game or for some arts and crafts in the future.
While I was cooking yesterday the twins decided that they were over their many hundreds of toys they have and were both making their boredom known. After trying all the usual tricks to occupy them while I finished off I spotted the buttons and pom poms sitting on the bench.
I grabbed two mixing bowls from the cupboard and divided the buttons and pom poms into each bowl, then gave a bowl each to B1 and B2.
They sat there placing them into and then out of their bowls. Then they even started sharing between each other (can you tell sharing is not common). They passed them back and forth to each other and placed them into each others bowls.
This kept them happy for at least the next 15 minutes while I finished my cooking.
They are now obsessed by the pom poms and have been playing with them on and off ever since.
Some cheap fun right there. I will use them for some craft in the future.
