…cheer Thyself a Little

On this day (or somewhere thereabouts) in 1564, the Bard of Avon was born (maybe…the dates are a bit fuzzy…but that’s beside the point). Yes, William Shakespeare would have been 454 today (and a medical marvel/vampire) today.

If you ever doubt the old truism, “the more things change, the more they stay the same,” you need look no further than Shakespeare to be reminded of its aptness.

So, if you’re looking for motivation this Monday, it’s hard to go wrong with the Bard. There really is a Shakespeare quote for everything.

So sit back, relax and prepare to be motivated.

“Better three hours too soon than a minute too late.”

The Merry Wives of Windsor

“This above all: to thine ownself be true. And it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man.”

Hamlet

“Live a little, comfort a little, cheer thyself a little.”

As You Like It

“Our doubts are traitors and make us lose the good we oft might win by fearing to attempt.”

Measure for Measure
