&appId;Happy Thanksgiving Eve!
I am at work today and I am wondering how many of you have work today? How many have work on Friday? I am working both. Don't get me totally wrong I am thankful that I have Thursday off, however, I cannot help but be a bit jealous that J will be home sleeping and cuddling with the dogs on Friday while I'll be at my desk.
The real reason I wanted to write this post is to tell you what is going on in my life. One of the biggest things is..
I started my own business. "WHAT?" you may say..
I had this idea a few months ago. I have always wanted to work with pets and I wasn't sure how. Then my coworker came into work one day with a glam shot of her 2 dogs. She had taken them to petco and had a little photoshoot. The photos weren't that great and she wasn't very happy with them. I kept thinking, I could do better than that. They had her dogs in front of that horrible blue marble background that just looks bed. They didn't have the setting right, so that it blurred out pieces you could tell weren't meant to be.
I thought it was such a fun idea and it had just been executed poorly. I take photos of my dog all the time and I have had a few winners and those photos were just taken with my iPhone. I bought a very nice camera, started to learn (still am learning) how to use it and that was the start of Cheezedogs.
This business has been taking up SO much of my time. I had a logo made, website put up and of course learning about the camera. This past weekend, my incredible brother was able to get the website up and running and I am so proud of it. My whole family has been so supportive. Jared has been helping me pose the dogs to take photos and learning with me. My dad had a friend draw the logo and then he helped add color and make sure it was perfect. I cannot thanks my family enough for the support.
I've also had A LOT of interest since launching the Facebook page on Friday. I'm already up to almost 50 like in 5 days and I think that's awesome. I have 3 people ready to schedule and I feel so blessed.
If you'd like to check out my website please do: www.cheezedogs.com
If you're feeling very supportive I would LOVE if you could come like my Facebook page.
I am a total newbie photographer, so if you have any advice for me. Please let me have it! I would value it more than you'll ever know. You can comment on my photos on Facebook, give me advice here. Anything.. my ears are ready to be burning.
What do you think of my new business?
Any feedback on my website? (aside from the un-finished portfolio)
