I did a little last minute Christmas shopping last night. The kids are the only people we're buying for this year and I'm still down to the last minute. Actually I thought we were done shopping weeks ago but it's hard to stop... there's just too many cute, fun things out there that I know they'll love.

I got Little C a Color Wonder set similar to this one, except a Winnie The Pooh theme. I know he'll be so excited to have markers of his own since he tries to steal Bug's markers a thousand times a day.

I found this awesome Crayola art kit {with a pink case} for Bug at Walmart last night. I'm a bit of snob when it comes to kids' art brands... Crayola is by far my favorite. I thought $10 was a great deal for this kit. I know Bug will be super excited to get it! She's going to love having her first pair of scissors and everything else in this set. She's due for a new set of markers, crayons and paints... so this is perfect. She loves art so much.

It's kind of sad but we haven't gotten C a special stuffed animal of his own since he was born. By the time Bug was his age she had several special stuffed animals and dolls from us and family/friends but so far C has nothing. I've wanted to get him something really special that he can hang on to for a long time and something I will want to pack away and save long after he's tired of it. He loves dogs right now and I know he'll love this stuffed dog. This one just stood out to me as being super cute and that "perfect, special" stuffed animal for him. Being a boy I doubt he'll have a huge stuffed animal collection like Bug has so I wanted to choose well. Ty also has a really cute stuffed dog but I like this one from Gund just a little better.
{via}And since C was getting a special stuffed animal I wanted to get a new stuffed animal for Bug too {although she does not need any more whatsoever}. She's liking cats lately and I found this little set for less than $6 on Amazon.
On another subject Bug drew this adorable bird yesterday! She came up to me with this piece of paper yesterday afternoon and said "Look Mama! I draw a bird for you!" She was so excited and I could actually tell what it was supposed to be as soon as she brought it to me. If you can tell where the legs are... well, notice the 2 roundish things on either side of the legs. I asked her what those were and she said "those are shoes". Haha! She's so cute.
Last night Bug and I drove around a neighborhood just down the street to look at Christmas lights. We passed several houses with colorful lights, Santa/snowmen/reindeer decorations and all kinds of elaborate stuff but when we came to the house above Bug said "This one's my favorite. I like this one." I thought it was really cute that she seems to know what she likes and apparently she likes the simple and elegant over the bright and cheerful.
And this is random but this Craigslist ad for a "chest of drawers" cracked me up this morning.
