Clickin’ It Back into High Gear!

Hey guys. It’s late Saturday night here. Finally home after a day of fun and ready to hit the hay.

I wanted to write a little bit about the last week or so, mainly to give myself a little kick in the keester.

I’ve completely forgotten all about my Daily Healthy Guidelines. I haven’t been checking them off on my Checklist. I’m slackin’ on swapping out sugar for fruit and stevia. I’m enjoying a plethora of pretzels (daily) and my intestines are not happy! 

I did some back reading over the last two months here on the blog and I was reminded of something really important…

I changed how I was eating to live a life free of intestinal issues, not to lose weight.

Somewhere between May and July and surprisingly losing 15ish pounds I got totally mixed up. Lately I’m 156% focused on the whole weight loss aspect of this and not on the main goal… digestive happiness.

I’m learning the hard way that my digestive system functions best with NO SUGAR. That includes no simple carbs.

It’s normal to get to feelin’ all fine and dandy and slip back into old habits. I’m not beating myself up for forgetting and needing to start over. I just forgot how frustrated and bad I felt when my intestines were in distress and lost a key motivator to eat clean.

Maren… follow those Healthy Guidelines:

  • drink hot magic lemon water every AM
  • drink 3 servings of tea a day
  • eat 2 servings of healthy fats a day
  • swap complex carbs for simple ones
  • eat 2 servings of fruit a day
  • NO SUGAR!
  • exercise at least 30 minutes
  • eat lots and lots of veggies!!!
  • get 2 servings of probiotics a day
  • drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day
