Coast Dresses Are My Choice

The last time I wore a dress was for my own wedding.

I have never been a dress person yet at a christening I attended recently I was admiring so many dresses worn by the guests.

They all looked so elegant and lady like.

Why do things always look great on others yet you can never imagine them looking that good on you?

I opted for smart trousers instead yet vowed that at the next opportunity given, I too would be wearing a dress.

And as if by magic we received not one but two christening invites, only two weeks apart.

This meant two dresses were needed.

A lady cannot be expected to wear the same outfit to two events can she?

What if mutual guests attended both and knew I had worn the same dress.

I have actually borrowed a dress from a good friend for the first christening, which will be next week and it was bought at John Lewis and I am reluctant to give her it back as I feel a million dollars in it.

It is not normally a shop that I would think of when buying a dress, so thought I would take a peek and I am amazed at the choice and am now a little stuck.

The dress fits and looks amazing because its great quality and you can tell by looking at it it’s of expensive taste, yet the price tag is actually remarkably affordable. (But I won’t tell people that part)

Now I love the Coast dresses and the one that jumps out and shouts “buy me” is a bodycon design dress.  I love the bodycon design as it’s comfortable and flattering to the body, yet the one I have fallen in love with is white.

Is white such a good colour for a mum to 6?

The best part is there is currently a sale on and there are two others that I am tempted to at least try on for size.

I do think I will need to go into the store as I am one of those women who buy things and then just hang them in the back of the wardrobe and never wear them.

I actually want to start changing my wardrobe items and refreshing my fashion.

Fashion changes but so does your age and your confidence and your choices.

I have never worn dresses in the past yet now feel rather inclined to want to add a few to my wardrobe collection.

There is also a gorgeous coral colour dress that I have already matched up with accessories and I already have the perfect cream heels to match it.

Hair up or hair down is the next question when wearing a dress?

So do I dare wear white?
