I'm starting an exciting new series today covering topics relating to going to college! I also have some brands that are big on my campus who are graciously sponsoring a giveaway because I REACHED 100 FOLLOWERS! Seriously y'all, I can't thank you enough for supporting me. That giveaway will be at the end of the series, so be on the watch!
For my College Bound series, I'm going to start with dorm room decorating. Obviously, this is the most important subject. Here are 5 rules to remember about dorms:
Rule Number 1: Make sure you have anything you could possibly need. Your dorm is your home now. If you are missing something, you will probably have to buy it from the bookstore. Let's be honest. On a college student's budget, that could be hard. Residence Hall Linens takes some of the stress away from decorating your dorm. They have convenient "paks" that include everything you need, from sheets to storage. All you do is pick a color scheme. I highly recommend this because it is VERY easy to forget something!

Rule Number 2: Make sure your roommate is using the same color scheme. It just makes the whole room go together. This way, you would be able to put a rug, for example, in the middle of the room and it doesn't look out of place.
Rule Number 3: Don't forget about storage! Make sure you have storage solutions that could fit under your bed. When you need to clean up, they are essential.
Rule Number 4: Don't forget about the bathroom, either. Bring enough shampoo, toothpaste, and other bathroom necessities for the whole semester. You'd hate waking up and being out of deodorant, right?
Rule Number 5: Make your room fun. You're going to be living here. Bring movies, board games, whatever you have fun doing. What about those times that you are done studying and you get bored? You will definitely be glad you brought something fun. Also, decorate your room in a fun way. Put happy pictures on the wall. Make your dorm room exciting to live in.
By the way, here is a list of things to do before you go to college.
