For many, that “Happy” may seem a bit sarcastic, and the exclamation point might seem more like a panic attack. If that sounds like the boat you’re in, take a deep breath, and keep reading.
Today’s about being thankful and appreciative of all the people and blessings in your life. Which makes it the perfect time to focus on all we have in common instead of dwelling on what we don’t.
With the current political situation, I know this year seems like it should be rougher than usual. It doesn’t have to be. Or at the very least, you don’t have to be the instigator.
I promise you, today will go much more smoothly if you set aside your soapbox and just enjoy the people you’re celebrating the day with. You might even have fun.
I know, wishful thinking, but it could happen. Don’t worry, your soapbox will still be there tomorrow, and Black Friday seems like a much more appropriate holiday for starting a lively debate with family.
On that note, I’ll leave you to your turkey…and one more thing…
