Coming Back from a Break!

Posted on the 04 January 2012 by Whatsgoingoninleeannesmind @Mommalynyrd
First off let me start by saying that I hope all of my readers had a Very Happy, Healthy and Safe Holiday Season! As well I hope that you all brought in the New Year with a Safe Celebration!
For those of you who have noticed, I went MIA shortly before Christmas!
Between the Holidays and Things going on at home I needed to step away from the web for a little bit.
So Before I return to the full swing of things I will fill you in on whats been going on in my life.
Don't get to excited, my life is actually pretty boring!
Our Family Christmas went Wonderfully!
Coming Back from a Break!Coming Back from a Break! We had a lunch at my cousins house with my Mothers family on Christmas Eve. My Grandparents, Aunt and Uncle along with all my cousins gathered for some family fun! My Cousin Decorated her house beautifully (which she always does!) and My Uncle Cooked an Amazing Lunch!!

Angelina's Great Grandfather gave her Money in her Card and she decided to buy a Hamster, named Butterscotch, on our way home!
When I got home I received a visit from the real Santa... This year my family has been struggling financially and due to my husbands seasonal employment it leaves little to nothing for us to celebrate Christmas with. But Thanks to God, and Some VERY Wonderful Friends my Daughters had an Amazing Christmas! Usually I don't like to admit how limited our "funds" are because I don't want the sympathy, but I do however feel that our friends that helped us need to know how greatly their love and generosity was to out family and how special it was to see the girls eyes light up when they seen that Santa stopped by in the middle of the night with EVERYTHING that they wanted for Christmas.

Christmas Day we did the typical opening of presents in the morning, family breakfast (cooked by me!) and headed off to my Nana's for her presents for the kids. After that we headed off to my In-laws for Dinner! Which was AMAZING! Instead of having the typical Christmas Dinner you would see in an American Home we had Spanish Food! It was a great Change from Turkey and Ham (I'm not a fan of Ham and Thanksgiving left me Full of Turkey till next year!)
And that was Our Christmas!
Moving on,
Coming Back from a Break! The Day After Christmas Brandi had to have a Hearing Test Done to Evaluate how much she could hear before the tubes were placed into her ears. It was determined that she had moderate hearing loss. When I asked the Audiologist what that meant and how much she could actually hear she gave me this example:
"Cover you ears with both hands and press hard, then listen to someone talk to you, you can hear them but not clearly... That is how Brandis hearing is at the this time"
It was rather depressing but she assured us that the tubes would make a difference!
Coming Back from a Break!Coming Back from a Break! On the 30th we went to the Hospital to have the tubes placed in her ears. The Pre-Op took the longest amount of time, but the surgery was a matter of 7 to 10 mins. and then we went home 20 mins later! Since then you can tell her hearing has improved. She started to say little things that sh never has before and I am hopeful that she will continue to learn with her speech development. We return to her ENT on the 18th to determine if her hearing has improved.

New Years Eve.
I stayed in bed from 11:30 AM on watching AMC's The Walking Dead Marathon! I am absolutely obsessed with the show! I do not believe in the Zombie Apocalypse but love the "What would you do?" Questioning that it brings up- and is great for a conversation starter! We watched the ball drop with both the kids and my neighbors down the road lit fireworks that we watched thru the bedroom window! Then it was bed!
Other than that- nothing very exciting has happen during my break.
Great News, I have not had a single Panic Attack in quite some time, which is a major accomplishment! Even with all the chaotic events, well not chaotic to a normal person but Christmas, New Years, Limited Money, Children Surgery-- Its all pretty hectic for a Panic Disorder Sufferer!
So that is it!
I will be posting giveaways and other articles soon!!
