April Showers.
We've certainly had our fair share of those so far this year, haven't we?!
Living by the seaside during the Easter break is a real blessing as when the tourists come to Devon to spend the school holidays eating ice cream by the beach and enjoying the donkey rides, it means that us locals get to enjoy all of the treats laid on for them such as the visiting fairground on our local green - but as much as we love to head outside and enjoy these things, the weather can sometimes put a bit of a dampener on things - quite literally.
The sun has really been trying to get through over the past couple of weeks, but even the sunniest days have been interspersed with showers and so raincoats have been a must!
We were recently given the opportunity to try out some new ones from Target Dry and Tyne in particular was delighted to be able to browse through the vibrant and colourful patterns on offer and select which design he wanted - he almost went for the sharks but in the end decided on the bus print of the Flynn Jacket as he said he loved all of the different colours in it.
Once it arrived, he was delighted and was keen to head out to "jump in muddy puddles" and put it to the test!
Noah received a matching coat, and I have to say - I know I'm biased but I think they look just adorable together!
The coats are waterproof, windproof and breathable, and feel so ever so light but with a lovely warm soft fleece lining to keep them snuggly.
The Flynn Jacket is currently on sale for just £17.95 - available HERE
I was also sent a jacket to try out myself. Now I have to admit to not being the most outdoorsy person - generally if its raining I'll stay indoors so the need for a raincoat has never struck me but we are heading off a cruise of the Norwegian Fjords in May and I've been warned that we will probably all need to be prepared with waterproofs so it was high time that I got myself kitted out!
I chose the Layla Rain Jacket - the Lollipop color is nice and feminine and I liked the fact that the jacket is so light but so warm - I usually hate wearing coats but this didn't feel as though it restrained me at all.
The coat has two front bellows pockets which are ideal for keeping my phone and camera dry, and there is also a concealed hood which I find handy - the jacket is also highly waterprood and windproof so will be just ideal on any wet and blustery days aboard the ship.
