Compliments, Peanut butter and Laughter

If that's not a good combo, I don't know what is!

Today, January 24 is such a special day. It is earmarked for National Compliment Day, National Peanut Butter Day and Belly Laugh Day. Perhaps there's more, but let's get started with celebrating these!

National Compliment Day

Whether we graciously receive them or give them, compliments are always welcome. Easy to give and costs nothing. What a wonderful way to forge a connection or break the ice with someone! It shows you care. And you could possibly make the person's day, boost their morale and make them feel great about themselves. Good enough reasons to give one!

Compliment someone. Magnify their strengths, not their weaknesses - Mark Twain

And while you're at it, do remember to compliment yourself, because you're awesome and deserve it!

Candor is a compliment; it implies equality. It's how true friends talk. -Peggy Noonan Compliments, Peanut butter and Laughter

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. -Leo Buscaglia

Peanut butter is used to combat global hunger.

Sixty million children under the age of five worldwide suffer from severe malnutrition and 142 million from chronic malnutrition. One million of these children die every year as a consequence. Even the ones who survive are faced with severe long-term side effects. These children typically lag behind their peers in their development and suffer the physical and psychological effects of malnutrition throughout their lives. One of the simple yet powerful solutions to address this challenge is peanut butter. One serving of peanut butter offers eight grams of plant-based protein and over 30 essential nutrients and phyto-nutrients. Peanut butter is an economical source of protein and is shelf-stable, which makes it an ideal food product to counter the problem of malnutrition across the world. (Source)

I love peanuts, of course. Making peanut butter is easy and it is fantastic in lots of recipes.
