Cored

Oh my goodness guys!

I had the most epic weekend filled with a 5k, a 1/2 marathon that ran literally into the Santa Cruz side of the Monterey Bay and I did like every chore known to my chore list ever!

But I’m not going to talk about all that in this post. I figure it’s in the past so lets move on to the future.

You are about to be blown away!!! You are going to say… What healthy living blogger took over Maren’s blog and replaced herself in Maren’s life???

yep… it’s about to go down.

Breakfast

For breakfast this morning I ate this pretty fuji apple along with a grande green tea from the ‘Bucks.

I also had a mug of hot water with half a lemon squeezed into it because it’s supposed to be great for your digestive system. I’m planning on doing this every morning first thing. Then having my coffee or tea later in the morning.

Lunch

I’m trying to make smart carb choices these days, also because it’s supposed to be really great for my intestines, so I had a turkey sandwich with lettuce, tomato and mustard on whole grain bread.

I’m detoxing off refined sugar and carbs. Doing this and upping my intake of probiotics each day should revamp my tummy and make me feel awesome again. I’m not a big fan of huge diet adjustments but if it works like I’ve read it should, I’m down… even if that means (mostly) giving up skittles.

Snack

I ate another fuji apple because the first one was so tasty, with a packet of Justin’s almond butter squeezed all over it. This turned out to be quite a messy snack since the apple was the juiciest apple ever and basically was a water balloon of crunchy-appley-ness. And almond butter is always messy so…

Fitness!

I totally coordinated my outfit to match my GU Chomps! It was planned and you caught me.

I did 60 minutes on the cybex elliptical then I did a 30 minute cardio workout that was free On Demand.

I’m hoping to be in good enough shape by September to walk/jog a half marathon with Max. We’re going with my family up to SunRiver, Oregon for a week vacation and they just happen to have a half marathon running through the resort the weekend we get there. It’s too perfect to pass up.

Since I’m not planning on running it I’m going to be doing a lot of other types of cardio to get my body in shape, I’ll also be doing 2 runs a week to prepare. I’m so excited.

Dinner

This evening I was uber hungry from all my fitness so I made some Tilapia fillets with Italian seasonings, salt, pepper and extra virgin olive oil. I had steamed broccoli on the side.

Then I had a bowl of Manhattan clam chowder… yum.

Snack (dessert)

I had YOGURT!!!! Okay, it’s not real yogurt it’s special yogurt I found that’s cultured from almond milk. It’s soy, dairy, and gluten free!

How cool right?! I bought plain then added a stevia packet and some cinnamon. Holy toledo it was tasty.

Just like dessert.

It’s Bachelorette night. I’m so excited for this season. Have a great evening guys!!!

Tell me about you!! I want to know…

Do you simply love yogurt?
