Costa Rica to California

Posted on the 10 March 2014 by Mikidemann @mikidemann
I feel like I could write an entire 2nd post (read the 1st HERE) about the fact that Jared woke me up last night to tell me that he needed my amazon password so he could buy Indie a life vest for their road trip.
I’ll let you take that in for a minute.
How cute is my husband? Like 100 cute.
Instead, I’ll write a post about the fact that we decided to take our very own road trip for Jared’s birthday. To be fair our road trip was planned one day before Jared's man road trip to Arizona. Jared has a twin, Josh. Josh and his girlfriend, Kim have been planning this 30th birthday extravaganza with us, since it’s obviously shared between Jared and Josh. You may remember that we have been talking about going to Costa Rica or somewhere tropical. Well instead we’re road trippin’.
Costa Rica would be cool and we’re not ruling it out for our future vacations, but we want to go there when we need to escape Utah and usually that’s during the frightful winters.
Instead we decided to take what I am calling “The Bucket List Road Trip”. We’re going to fly down to San Francisco and drive along the coast up to Portland, where we will then fly home.

Now you may think we're crazy, 4 of us in a car for 7 days and maybe we are crazy. Let me explain our decision, May is a gorgeous time of the year, everything is blossoming and it's finally starting to warm up. Also, Costa Rica would be rather expensive for flights and a hotel. With flights, a rental car,  and hotels we're still going to be spending a far amount less with this road trip WHICH MEANS that we will have a lot more "play" money for all the fun activities we want to do along the way.
We could go surfing, scuba diving, hiking, see the worlds largest yarn ball (jk), golfing <-— Jared, and anything else that we please. Especially since we have 7 days to make a 10 hour road trip, so we only have to drive a few hours a day. The best part is that we will have the freedom to stay wherever we want for however long we’d like.
Here are some links that I've been looking at to help plan our road trip.
