…Count On It

We live in a world of passwords. With all the capitalization, symbols, numbers and unique passwords that our lives require, it can be easy to just throw in the towel.

Based on the top passwords of 2013, a lot of you did just that. 2013, saw the fall of the number one password — password — and the rise of the sequential password — 123456.

Other highlights in the top 25, include:

  • monkey — how is this #17?
  • letmein — clever but common…this is #14
  • princess — this is #22…really?
  • 12345678 — #3 on the list, this offers two more digits worth of a false sense of security
  • Needless to say, if you’re password made the top 25, you might want to consider changing it.

Just try not to think too hard about how they were able to compile a top 25 passwords list. I’m sure all of yours are safe and encrypted.
