I have craft phobia.
It’s illustrated throughout my blog … all the times I’ve fallen hopelessly short sticking, gluing, icing, baking, stitching, making …
today I tackled it head on, I stared the beast right in the eye and bopped it on the nose.
I’ve decided that the hour a week I watch the TV (Call the Midwife or The Apprentice or Shameless or Strictly depending on the time of year), I’m going to do something crafty. Make a bow for Hope, make her a hair clip or a set of wings, a crown or a mask … or button brooches … or something … then I won’t feel guilty for plonking myself infront of the screen when I should have been doing a gazillion other things as I’ll have made something.
Well, that’s the plan.
So … I found felt, I purchased buttons, thread and wool AND just to prove I’m serious,
I have bought a glue gun.
Now I need to hunt for a bottle of tequila to lubricate my imagination so I can think of what to make and to help me get over the fact that I’m consciously thinking of doing something crafty.
I am trying to be a proper Mummy!!!
Hic!
