I can’t believe today’s July 31! This month just seems to have flown by! When I signed up for the Ultimate Blogging Challenge July 2014 and BlogHer NaBloPoMo for July 2014, I was naturally excited. Writing has never been a hardship – in fact, I’d go crazy if I didn’t!
The first few days were cool – then what with life intervening, I felt a little under pressure. Still, the joy of writing is something else and I managed. And it seems like before I am ready for it, July 31 is here!
It has been a fun month though, what with taking part in contests and blogging activities, going on weekend trips, school meetings, dealing with issues at home, guest blogging, book launches and more!
More than anything else, what I enjoyed most about this month was meeting online friends I’ve known for years. There’s no greater joy than really liking someone virtually and finding out they are just as loveable in real life. I’ve been particularly blessed that way!
Remember I mentioned that July is a special month for me? This July was no different. I am grateful for all the laughter and happiness that came my way, even though I had a bit of a scare about my blood sugar mid way. I am trying my best to manage it.
Oh yes, I also read a few books, thanks to an excruciatingly slow network connection!
On the work front, I have a couple of new projects going and I am pretty excited because it is something I’ve dreamed of doing. Dreams do come true. We just have to chase them sometimes! What a pleasant journey it is, though. Definitely worth it.
I am grateful for everything I receive.
So, next on the blogging agenda is: I am considering making it a habit to blog every day. I recently wrote a post on the Write Tribe blog about the 20 benefits of blogging daily. I may as well practice what I preach, right?
It is not easy though, with the added responsibilities I’ve taken on.
Because creativity takes courage.
If you are wondering why, it is because it mean:
- I open myself up to criticism…but I am happy to focus on the constructive part and cherish the good words
- Rather than just make grand plans, I must follow through on them. It means action. Because actions speaks.
- I must overcome
lazinessthe urge to slack off and DO it especially since writer’s block doesn’t live here. - I must not allow my inner critic to ever see the light of day. Or night. That’s tough, even if we speak of squashing it!
- I must not give in to any negative thoughts.
Deciding to be courageous, of course, pays off big time.
And so, today, a new Write Tribe Initiative has been launched. It is called the…
“Write Tribe Pro Blogger”
Because Creativity Takes Courage
