Crock Pot Chocolates…

That’s right, I am here to give you my version of the best way on the earth to make chocolate deliciousness for the holiday. In your crock pot. You know what that means don’t you? Well it means you don’t have to do anything, except put your ingredients in the crock pot, and stir. At the end…like once.

So here is the ingredient list:

  •  2 cups of peanuts or chosen nuts (almonds would be delicious, I just didn’t have any!!)
  • 1 bag of white chocolate chips (226 grams)
  • 1 bag of milk chocolate chips (226 grams)
  • 4 bakers chocolate squares (unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup of coconut oil (I used this to make the chocolate smooth and it’s so good for you!)

You will need a crockpot, I have a small one that worked really well…you will also need a small muffin tin and some paper muffin cups, if you had the teenie ones for candies, they would be a perfect bite size…I will do this next time as the chocolates are huge the way I made them, and we all know I have not one shred of self control when it comes to chocolate and  I will eat the entire thing…

Put your paper cups in the muffin pan, so when it is time you are ready to scoop your chocolates into the cups.

Here is what you do:

Layer the nuts on the bottom of the crock pot, next layer the unsweetened chocolate squares, coconut oil and both bags of chocolate chips…

Turn the crock pot on low and cook for approximately 3 hours. Do not stir it.

I mean it, you need to walk away and not mess with it.

After the time (3 hours…don’t cheat) is up you will gently stir the chocolate and other ingredients together until thoroughly mixed, this is where the coconut oil makes it smooth and creamy. Yum.

Once the mixture is combined place 1 tsp to 1 tbsp in each of your muffin cups. (This will totally depend on your paper cup size, you choose and then figure it out :) Like I said, next time I will make mine quite a bit smaller.

Next you want to let them harden up, all I can say after this point is freezer.

It hardens them fast, I did mine in the muffin pans first and then took them out of the freezer and put them in a cute Christmas tin, after I ate one, I put them right back in the freezer. They keep well there, and I sort of forget that I have them…and I know I will bust a tooth if I try to eat them when they are frozen solid, it’s a bit of a deterrent.

These are seriously delicious, smooth, crunchy and everything a Christmas candy is supposed to be!

Enjoy!!
