Dad Pulled A Gun

Ladies, I'm on the EDGE of my seat right now.
My dad sends me a text a little bit ago and it says " Another robbery. This time they got caught. But Dad had his pistol pulled on one."
Freaking out is NOT the even slightest reaction I had.  I went hysterical.
Backstory- about two weeks ago, a house REALLY near mine, in my neighborhood was robbed and several things taken.  Well, I immediately called and told Mom & Dad to be sure they were using their alarm system and told them why.  So fast forward to today.
I get that text and I called Dad.  Turns out the same guys robbed the house behind my Mom & Dad's house and dad saw it happen.  He works on lawnmowers and was lying down so he wasn't visible to anyone. 
To make a long story short, the two robbers left the scene, fled toward Dad's house, and he ended up having to pull his gun on one of them. 
Cops were all over the place.  They think these two were responsible for over 18 robberies in the last two weeks.  Both guys were caught, thankfully, but get this.  Both just got out of jail- one for robbery.  The other for manslaughter. 
I am FREAKED out. 
& just last night I was out in the backyard looking around at storm damage, in the dark.   I shutter to think about what COULD have happened.
Crazy folks, they are everywhere. 
I just want to go home and lock the doors. 
I am SO glad B spends the night tonight.
