Dahilayan Day 2: Summer 2013

Posted on the 22 May 2013 by Ileodarod @ilevillegas
It mostly rained during our first day in Dahilayan
Finally, the next day, the sun is out!

Finally, I can show you better pictures of Dahilayan. Do they look like real cows to you?
Building where we stayed.

All pictures were taken at Dahilayan Forest Park
Unfortunately, this is also the day that we'll be leaving for Surigao. :(
But we tried to do as much as we can before we left. We forwent all the common adventures and decided to go horseback riding.
These horses aren't under the management of any of the resorts. These are owned by "freelancers" who offer you to ride them for a minimum fee of P100.

My sister was kinda big so she was given a plump horse too.

We paid an additional P50 because we wanted to take the longer trail. There's even another longer trail that would have been just lovely. You have to pay a total of P300 and the guide will take you further up into the mountains. But we didn't had the luxury of time because everyone's waiting for us for breakfast. :(
We had breakfast at Pinegrove Mountain Lodge at Dahilayan Adventure Park because the food is better there than at Dahilayan Forest Park.
After breakfast, we took a quick walk around Dahilayan Forest Park's animal park, which was just outside the barkada room we checked in.Koi Pond again.

It's such a beautiful place to have a picnic. There are random statues of animals around so if you happen to have kids, they'll definitely have fun.The Jacuzzi.

sister took this shot right after I took the picture above this.
Because we had limited time to take pictures, we learned to be strategic. We took each other's pictures using different cameras.
I like how these statues are well-crafted. They almost look real especially from afar and at night.

Our trip to Dahilayan was "bitin". We're definitely coming back.
Where next? Surigao!
