I love date nights. Those moments in time where you stop what you’re doing, and just focus on one another. About once or twice a week my SO and I try to make a night for just one another.
Sometimes we’ll go out to dinner, or to a movie, or to a play. Other times, we just like to be in the comfort of our own home and enjoy each others company.
Well, Campbells’ Skillet Sauces made a date night at home so easy. Instead of spending hours in front of the stove, dinner was done within 15 minutes so we could enjoy the rest of the night being by each others sides enjoying the company.
It was super easy to create. Campbell’s skillet sauces had four varieties when I went to my local Albertsons: Scampi, Creamy Chipotle, Toasted Sesame, and Fire Roasted Tomato. They also have Marsala and Thai Green Curry as varieties. They were located by all the dinner sauce mixes section in the store, and had signs featuring the new products right there.
I’d been craving Shrimp Scampi, so choosing the sauce was an easy decision. All I had to do when cooking was just add the shrimp into a Tablespoon of oil. After the shrimp turned pink a little, add in the Campbell’s Skillet Sauce, and cook until shrimp is done. You can create the shrimp all on it’s own or cook a side of pasta to top the shrimp over. I went with Angel Hair Pasta.
But, there are nights where you just cook at home, but date night’s need those added touches. Whether it comes from adding wine to make the dinner extra special, or using certain dishes to make the date night even more special, it’s about the two of you.
So, the special touches for that evening were putting our yummy dinner into heart dishes. He appreciated the extra touch, and even went back for seconds.
After dinner we snuggled in bed as we sat down to choose a movie to watch together, and it was a night meant just for the two of us.
