Daydreaming

While I walked with the first rays of sun
She came with the stars
And we walked into the mythical place
A place with no history and no future
Where the only way was to live in the moment
As we walked together
thousands of miles apart
and yet together
Somehow the world seemed alright
Somehow the battered courage stood up
and mustered the strength to fight another million injustices
Somehow there seemed to be a hope
That we shall sail through the misery someday
That we, as a species shall learn from our mistakes
That the wounds shall be balmed and justice delivered
That there shall be a dawn some day
And we shall realise
that life lies there
just there
in walking together
