Dealing with Sleep Apnoea
Sleep apnoea is a common problem, and causes problems for both the sufferer and their partners, but there is help available. 
Many people take a full night’s sleep for granted, and it is not until something disrupts this that we can truly appreciate sleeping well at night. There are many different sleeping disorders that people suffer from. And, there are also a variety of different methods to treat them. One form of sleeping disorder is sleep apnoea. The Different Forms of Sleep Apnoea

There are three different types of Sleep Apnoea, which is also referred to or spelled as Sleep Apnea. These different types of sleeping disorder are as follows:
  • Central Sleep Apnoea 
  • Obstructive Sleep Apnoea 
  • Complex Sleep Apnoea (Mixed Sleep Apnoea) 
Depending on what form you or your loved ones have, it will dictate what the best method of treatment is, but there are various machines and devices that can help treat such condition. Everybody needs adequate sleep and it is important to make sure that you can rest well each evening especially if you have kids you need to take care of. Long-term sleep deprivation can cause many other health risks, such as:
  • Heart Disease 
  • Diabetes 
  • Irregular Heartbeat 
  • High Blood Pressure 
  • Stroke 
So if you are suffering with extreme snoring and waking up feeling groggy with a dry mouth, headache, memory loss, or lack of concentration, it could be down to a lack of sleep. Get yourself to your doctor and explain your sleeping patterns and they can either refer you to a specialist, to help to treat your condition. 


Educate yourself about Sleep Apnoea

It is important that you understand your condition, and know that you are not the only person that suffers from this illness. When you know which condition you suffer from, you can then look at all of the treatments that are available. Some treatments may be more suitable to you such as a CPAP machine, or even a mandibular advancement splint, which can help to reposition your jaw and keep your airways open.
Listen to your doctor and see what his suggestion would be as to which treatment would be most effective for your condition. Most treatments are non-invasive, and surgery is usually only carried out as a last resort in extreme cases.

There are lots of people all over the world who suffer from sleep apnoea, so you are not alone in your suffering. However, you also want to think about your partner and your kids as your condition can have a big effect on their health due to a lack of sleep. Your condition can affect them just as much as it affects you, so by treating the condition you can improve the quality of your family’s life, as well as your own.
Suffering from a lack of sleep can leave you feeling dazed and confused, but with the correct diagnosis and treatment, you can ease your suffering and get a good rest each evening. Improving the quality and duration of your sleep can have a massive positive impact on your life, and that of your family’s. So if you are feeling lethargic, constantly tired, and not sleeping very well, go and see your doctor and make sure you look after your health.
