A largely female user group is pinning images of fashion, recipes, homes, art, and jewelry to an infinite number of virtual pinboards. The exponential growth is not only attracting consumers, but jewelers are using the tool to market their wares in viral fashion. The hook is the site's addictive quality. Once you've fallen down Pinterest's rabbit hole, it's hard to come back up for air. But for folks already used to spending hours on Facebook, Pinterest is a natural choice. Plus, the jewelry is just too good.
